That is except for the members of TX Wheels of Justice. We get to double up as we prepare to make the trip to Washington D.C. Although I cannot prepare you for the emotions and feelings that you will experience as part of the Police Unity Tour I believe I can help prepare you for the months leading up to it. There will be disappointment at times when you find that not everyone supports this cause as much as you do. There will be overwhelming joy when you find someone that is willing to support you more than you thought they would. There will be many sore behinds as you train for the ride. There will be days when you realize that the wind was blowing in your face no matter which direction you tried to ride. I encourage you to stay focused on why this ride is important and who you are participating in it for. I know each of you have a reason for participating in this ride and that part of that reason is to bring honor to those killed in the line of duty and support to the families that survive them. If you continue to keep this goal in mind you will accomplish everything you set out to do and even more. It is not an easy path, but it is a noble one and you will be truly touched by it. I am always available to answer questions and assist in any way possible.

Eric L. It was nice having Maggie to talk to during the first leg of the trip. My wife got tired talking to me during the rest of the trip. I look forward to seeing you both next year. This year was very motivating for members of my department. So far we have officers volunteering for support, bikes, and motors for next year. I hope all is well in Texas. God bless and see you next year.

Kevin Kosuda
Fort Lee Police Department
New Jersey

Comment on new blog page

Thank you to the riders and the support team members for what you are doing to honor and remember the awesome Texas heroes who have given the greatest sacrifice for the safety of the citizens of our State.
